Magdalen (Maggie) Thielen, 4th-grade Teacher, Highland
Maggie was a first-year teacher last year and was given one of the most challenging groups of students. Maggie faced many hardships but continued to persevere through all of the obstacles that were thrown her way. Fast forward to the 2023-2024 school year and Maggie once again faced with the same situation. Most would feel discouraged by this since she just had a very hard first year but Maggie does not back down from a challenge. She is always trying new strategies in her classroom and is ALWAYS trying her hardest to best meet the needs of ALL her students.
