Tim Nead goes above and beyond for his job and students by truly listening and understanding their needs. He uses humor, music, and a soft-spoken voice of reason to support the kids in our class and help them feel valued and wanted. Knowing when to back off and give kids time to process and make good choices, Tim allows the students room to learn and grow while still being in their proximity to feel safe and know they can do it. Tim’s fun personality and sense of ease make our classroom a place where students want to be. When working with said student who struggles in the morning when first coming to school, Tim uses his humor and guidance to allow this child to stay in the classroom while not hovering over him or creating a power struggle. This may seem simple in context, but when a child struggles, it takes a special kind of person to guide at a distance. Thank you, Tim!
