Curbside Free Meal Program (ANY student 18 & under)

NEW-Starting tomorrow (Friday, April 3) backpacks of food for the weekend will be handed out at all of our meal sites while supplies last.

NEW- Meals will be delivered to Cedar Crest & Lantern Square apartments where families can walk out and pick them up from 10-11am. These remote sites do not have the capacity to offer the backpacks.
Cedar Crest: Pick up in common area behind the apartments on Columbia St. and West Dale St.
Lantern Square: Pick up near the front where residents enter for the pool.

Curbside Meal Pick-Up

Parents/Guardians drive or walk-up to pick one up. Here is the Monday-Friday schedule:

9-10am: Cunningham, Kingsley, and Orange

10-11am: Kittrell, Highland

11am-12pm: Becker and Lou Henry

12-1pm: Irving, Lincoln, Poyner

9am-12pm: Education Service Center, 1516 Washington St. (site for Lowell)

NEW-Feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads) for students will be available at the Education Service Center starting tomorrow (Friday, April 3) upon request. Supported through Junior League.

This afternoon (4/2/20) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds ordered all Iowa schools remain closed through April 30; that means Waterloo Schools will remain closed through April 30, although extended closures could be announced by the Governor at a later time. Please be assured we will continue to serve our students during this time, including support with instruction and meals. With new requirements from the Governor, we will work to finalize our plan for students, staff and families and details will be shared as soon as we confirm them.

Curbside, Free Meal Pick-Up

Good news! Caregivers are now allowed to pick up meals for children at our grab & go locations without having to bring them. Free sack lunches are available weekdays for anyone 18 & under. Simply drive or walk up.

Please remember these meals are for children 18 and under. Please request only one per child to ensure we can continue to serve meals during this crisis.
