Waterloo Schools Peachjar Community Flyers Guidelines
Teaming Up with Our Community Partners
We love collaborating with our amazing community partners! To be environmentally friendly, tech-savvy, and fiscally responsible, we handle things a bit differently.
How to Get Your Flyer Out There
If you want to distribute your flyer, follow these simple steps. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents and posted online for up to 30 days.
Using Peachjar
Peachjar helps us distribute flyers, and they charge a fee for their service. However, if your event is free, you might qualify to post your flyer for free. Check out Peachjar’s community free guidelines. For assistance, contact Peachjar Customer Service at (858) 997-2117 or [email protected].
Important Note
These flyers are not official publications of the Waterloo Community School District, and the District does not endorse or sponsor the events. We simply share information about great community opportunities.
How to Post a Flyer
The District allows students, employees, and community members to share non-District-sponsored information electronically, as distributing print materials is time and cost prohibitive.
Steps to Post Information via Peachjar
- Visit www.peachjar.com
- Register as a Community Organization
- Upload your flyer for approval
Approval Criteria
Flyers will not be posted if they imply District endorsement or condemnation of any business, religion, political candidate, or issue, or if they violate the District’s Non-Discrimination Statement. Consider the following:
- Is the information in the best interests of students and/or staff?
- Is it related to the educational tasks of the school system?
- Does it appeal to a broad student audience?
- Does it avoid indecent, vulgar, or lewd language?
- Does it promote cultural, educational, civic, or recreational activities?
Restrictions for For-Profit Organizations
For-profit entities may not use this service for:
- Distributing pamphlets or flyers urging purchases
- Selling products or services
- Advertising on school websites or through District email
- Activities that disrupt the educational process
Community Free Flyer Guidelines
Peachjar’s Community Free Flyer Program is our way of giving back to communities by covering the fees for one Community Free flyer per 28 days for organizations promoting a charitable free program, service, or resource where children are the direct beneficiary.
All flyers submitted for free distribution will be reviewed by Peachjar for verification of eligibility and must comply with the following requirements:
- Your organization physically resides within the boundaries of the school district you wish to distribute to.
- Your charitable program, service, or resource directly benefits children, has no enticement for future fee-based programs, and does not serve the purpose of fundraising, collecting monetary donations, or allowing for the purchase of products or services. Applicable to vendors if present.
- Your organization is not receiving fees or revenue from vendors participating in the event.
- Your flyer must specify that there is no cost to attend or participate.
Submissions are limited to one flyer distribution to one school district every 28 days. If you wish to distribute to more than one school district or more frequently than every 28 days, you may choose to distribute a standard flyer, subject to Peachjar’s fees. Flyers will be reviewed individually, regardless of 501c3 designation. Peachjar reserves the right to determine final eligibility.
If you feel your event qualifies, please contact us at [email protected] to request access to the application.
