At Waterloo Community School District we use the Multi-Tiered Systems and Support (MTSS), it is the system that allows us to address issues including academics, behaviors, mental wellness. This system framework allows us to determine what students needs. In Waterloo the process to nominate a student for assistance with academics, behaviors, mental well-being are all the same. This streamlined process allows teams to work together with students and families to treat the whole person.
